Grand Marais, MN Wedding Vendors
Alright, you’ve got your season (or date) and location all figured out—now it’s time to choose your vendors! Elopements tend to have fewer vendors than traditional weddings, so the process can feel a bit simpler, but just as exciting.
A tip I always share is to start with your photographer. And no, I’m not just saying that because I’m one! When you book your photographer first, you’ll get access to a lot of helpful planning resources. I’m always happy to help you with everything, from recommending vendors to figuring out permits and timelines.
Also, keep in mind that many of the amazing vendors based in Duluth get booked up pretty quickly, especially in the busy months. So if there’s a vendor you have in mind, it’s a good idea to reach out sooner rather than later to make sure they’re available for your day.

Once you’ve got your date, location, and vendors all set, it’s time to get married! My biggest piece of advice for you is to make this day exactly what you want—turn it into the best, most adventurous day of your lives. It’s all about creating an experience. If you’re feeling unsure about your itinerary or how to structure the day, here are a few of my favorite ideas to help bring your vision to life. And don’t forget, we can always put together a personalized itinerary just for you!
Start your day at a cozy local spot like Java Moose Espresso Cafe for some amazing coffee and a bite to eat. Then, take a peaceful walk around the town or go for a quick hike in one of the nearby state parks. When you’re ready to relax, grab lunch at Sven & Ole’s (their pizza is pretty legendary). After fueling up, it’s time for your ceremony! Then comes the fun part—heading to Artist’s Point to take those sunset photos. Don’t stress, you really can’t go wrong with any of the beautiful locations here.
If you’re more of a camping couple, why not start your day with a morning hike and a picnic lunch? Afterward, head back to your campsite to get ready, or hit up the salon if you’d rather not have hair & makeup come to you. Once you’re all set, you could have your ceremony in the afternoon and then spend the evening brewery at Voyageur Brewing Company. Afterward, head back to your campsite for some moonlit dancing around the fire.
